But before embarking on my journey, I wanted to know how long is the flight from boston to iceland?

Researching Flight Times

Researching flight times for my upcoming journey is always one of the exciting and crucial parts of my planning process. I find myself daydreaming about all the possible places I can visit as I search for the best deals on flights. In the case of my Boston-to-Iceland journey, I knew that I wanted to fly direct, so the only parameter I was interested in was how long the flight would take.

After some research, I discovered that the direct flight from Boston to Iceland was approximately 5 hours and 15 minutes. I was surprised by the brevity of the flight – and of course, pleased. I was excited to see that I didn't have to extend my journey by having to take connecting flights or stopovers.

Planning the Trip

Once I found out the flight duration from Boston to Iceland, I was able to craft the rest of my itinerary. I quickly realized that with a flight time of just 5 hours, I would be arriving in Keflavik (Iceland's international airport) early in the morning. I decided to take advantage of the early arrival by heading straight to the Blue Lagoon. This was a great choice, as the Lagoon opens at 8:00am, so I wasn't restricted by having to wait until regular opening times.

After taking a dip in the Blue Lagoon, I knew I wanted to explore the Southeast Region of Iceland that the same day. This region is home to some absolutely spectacular sights, which I knew I had to take advantage of. But again, thanks to my knowledge of how long is the flight from boston to iceland, I had no difficulty in fitting these activities into my limited timeline.

The Flight Itself

The journey from my home in Boston to Keflavik International Airport in Iceland felt like a breeze. The flight was on a relatively small aircraft, but the seats were comfortable and the crew was friendly. I was able to quickly get settled in and spend the flight looking out of the window and admiring the ever-changing views.

Despite the short duration of the flight, there was a generous selection of food and drinks available. I enjoyed a delicious meal as we flew over the Atlantic, and was able to keep myself plenty hydrated throughout the journey. It's such a relief to know that some airlines still take food and drinks seriously, allowing passengers to really enjoy the journey!
